I don’t remember the last time it was so hard for me to put a book down as it was on Friday and Saturday to put down The Martian by Andy Weir. I think of the book as MacGyver on Mars.
Mark Watney, the protagonist, is likeable and clever. I confess that I cheated by looking at the last page to make sure he survived, though it’s hard to kill off a first-person narrator.
I highly recommend this book to any science fiction fan. I’m looking forward to Weir’s next novel.
