This week (Jan. 29 through Feb. 4) my students have two assignments to record in their research journals:
Exploration
Using what you learned in the first part of Chapter 2 (pages 15-26), explore your topic. (At this point, you won’t be doing in-depth research about your topic. You are just conducting an initial exploration.)
Bookmark any useful websites you find in your del.icio.us account, and keep track of your exploration in your research journal (i.e., your blog). When you write in your journal about a specific site or page on the web, please be sure you link to it. Don’t forget to tag the bookmarks you create, too. Use the tag “ENGL 112“ for all of your posts as well as others that fit your topic.
Research Question
Using what you learned in the first part of Chapter 3 (pages 32-41) and the Chapter 3 online tutorial, complete the research project outlined on page 39 (in the green box) in your research journal (i.e., your blog). Use the tag “ENGL 112“ for all of your posts as well as others that fit your topic.
We’re using The Bedford Researcher for the class, and all chapter and page references are to that book.
